Thatcham Writers are a group of budding novelists who meet in a local pub on a
monthly basis for brainstorming sessions and a few drinks. Or should that be
lots of drinks and bit of banter.
Basically we attended an evening class in the Autumn of 2001 at the Kennet
School, Thatcham. Inspired by our teacher - Deborah Bosley - we decided to
continue meeting after the ten week course ended. There is a core of about five
people and we meet on a monthly basis to discuss our writing projects and their
progress as well as general writing issues. Sometimes it's just good to talk
about writing with people who are interested instead of boring the ar*e off our
friends and loved ones! Each month we set a simple exercise - the results of
which are sometimes pasted on the website.

We're a very enthusiastic mixed bunch with multifarious ideas and imaginations
and we'd all like to give up the day job so that we can write, write, write.
